After 4 years and three majors at University California Davis (English, Rhetoric, Psychology,) I figured it was time to decide on a career.
I was lucky enough to have a friend at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, who referred me to the Portfolio Center. I took a gamble on it and discovered I loved advertising.

Since that time I’ve been fortunate to work at some of the country’s most creative agencies and innovative companies including: TBWA/CHIAT/DAY, Team One, Butler Shine & Stern, Nest, and currently Apple where I lead the writing for Apple Watch on our website.

Having been both on the agency and now client side, I’ve come to learn a few things. Namely, how to shepherd work through a complicated approval system. And the importance of not just great creative, but great creative that gets amazing results. And does it on a small budget. Because while million dollar films are great, these days you can have just as much impact with million dollar ideas.

Along the road, I’ve helped win new business such as Cadbury Schweppe’s Accelerade, Microsoft (while freelancing at J. Walter Thompson,) Nature Made Supplements, NPR, as well as learned the ins and outs of creating and running a successful 120,000 person event at Moscone Center (Dreamforce). I’ve also been lucky to receive recognition from Communication Arts, London International Awards, Graphis, the Art Director’s Club, Luerzer’s Archive, Shoot, Adweek, Adage and Creativity to name a few.

Although I’m proud of these things, I’m most proud of my wife and two kids.
I’d be more than happy to share numerous scrapbooks and thousands of hours of video if you’re interested.
